About the fair
The United Kingdom & Eire Council for Malaysian Students (UKEC) is proud to present to you the 6th annual UKEC-GRADUAN Career Fair 2010. Co-hosted with GRADUAN, this Malaysian career fair will be held for 3 days, with the first day (28th March) being an all day exhibition style career fair. This is followed by 2 days of interview sessions in which the companies will schedule a session with you.
The details are as follows;
Date: Sunday, 28th March 2010 (Career Fair)
Time: 9.00 am – 6.00 pm
Venue: Wilkins Building, University College London (UCL)
Date: Monday 29th and 30th March 2010 (Interview Sessions)
Time: 9.00 am- 5.00pm
Venue: University College London (UCL)

Please note that this Sunday, there will be a Daylight Savings change. Please update your clocks accordingly.
All students are encouraged to attend the fair as it is a great chance for you to find out more about employment opportunities in Malaysia! There are even opportunities for experienced hire, so do come on down and speak with the top executives of the leading companies at our fair! The fair is mainly catered for Malaysians, however there are opportunities for other nationalities, depending on the companies.
Summer internships are also available for those who are in their first year and second year. Final students may find this fair useful as you may apply for job placements upon completing your degrees. If you are interested in either applying for a summer internship or job placement, kindly send your CV to and our participating firms will contact you should they have positions that suit your qualifications.

Hi Siti,
Thank you very much for your interest. Regarding your question, yes there have been a number of malaysian universities expressing their interest in participating in the fair. Last year we had a number of universities as well, e.g. Uni Pertahanan Malaysia, Uni KL, Uni Malaysia Pahang and Uni Malaya. My apologies, but it is still too early to inform you of these details, as companies are usually slow to confirm.
However, do keep an eye out for the UKEC newsletter and website for updates. Also, do join our facebook group for the latest info.

I want to know if any government agencies or Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam (SPA) will be participating in the career fair.

With regards to your inquiry, please note that we are still in the process of having companies sign up for the fair. This includes the government agencies and SPA as well. We have already approached them but are still waiting on their confirmation. I’m afraid that is all I can tell you so far. I have a question, when we send the CV, do we get a reply of anything saying that we will be having the interview on the days or do we drop in line and have the interview?

Hi Azreen,
Thank you for the inquiry. The CVs you submit will be forwarded to all our participating companies. From then on, should you be right person for the compay, they will contact you themselves to schedule a meeting. UKEC will not be contacting you with regards to the status of your application.

The Victoria, Circle and Metropolitan tube lines aren’t working that day. Also, Warren Street station is closed too. Maybe you could put that up as an update so people don’t get lost.
