Where do I send my CV to?

You can send your CV to cv@ukeconline.com or you can upload your CV via Career Fair website. Please do not send multiple copies of your CV as this may cause some delay in processing your application.

Do I have to write a Cover Letter for my application?

Cover letters are not compulsory although we do encourage applicants to submit cover letters to specific firms that they wish to apply to. Cover letters should be attached with your CV and send to cv@ukeconline.com in a single file.

What do I do next after submitting my CV?

Once we receive your CV, we will then forward it to all participating firms and they will be in touch with you. We are unable to track and review your application status once we have submitted your CV to the firms.

What do I do if I do not hear from the firms?

In the event where you do not hear from the firms, kindly bring a hard copy of your CV to the UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2010 on the 28th March 2010 and speak to the representatives from these firms.

When is the UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2010? Why is it 3 days long?

The UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2010 will be held on the 28th of March 2010 at University College London (UCL). The fair itself will be on the 28th, where there will be exhibition-style booths and career talks. Interviews will be conducted on the 29th and 30th of March 2010.

Who should I approach if I have queries on the UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2010?

How do I get to the venue of the UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2010?

How many firms will be there during the Career Fair?

As we are still in the process of confirming the participation of firms, we are unable to provide a full list for the time being. However, do visit our Career Fair website: http://www.ukeconline.com/careerfair/ for updates.

Can non Malaysian students attend the Career Fair and apply for internships?

Yes, they can. However, job offers and invitation to interviews would solely depend on the participating companies.

Are there any government agencies or universities that will be participating in the Career Fair?

The organising committee have extended invitations to government agencies and universities. Many are yet to confirm their participation. We suggest you check for updates at the Career Fair website: http://www.ukeconline.com/careerfair/

Why is there a lot of emphasis on the banking and finance sector?

It is true that a lot of participating companies are from the banking and finance sector but they do employ students from IT, engineering and other backgrounds. We have extended invitations to many companies which are key players in other industries so do check out our website for more updates on participating companies.

Can I bring my CV to the career fair day?

Yes but companies will usually give priorities to students whom they have invited for interviews.

Do we have to pay to attend the CF?

No. Students will not be charged to attend the fair. UKEC is an organisation for the Malaysian students and we strive to provide the best opportunities for students at minimal or no cost at all.
