Nasyeed Extravanganza 2020 (NEXT20) is an initiative by SMSA which began in February 2005 with the sole reason to invite people with good moral values in the form of singing and music solely for charity.

Next was founded by a former Sheffield student, Mas Afzal Masarudin who was also the president of SMSA during his year. He managed to obtain his degree in Medicine despite being diagnosed with Cancer in 2008. The late Allahyarham Mas Afzal passed in December 18th, 2010. His sincerity has touched a huge number of hearts during his short lifetime. Thus, NEXT is held annually in loving memory of it’s founder.

For the year 2020, again we aim to bring National Cancer Council Malaysia and Children with Care UK s our beneficiaries. We aim to serve them a better life and a brighter future an any way possible, with donations that will helpfully give a positive impact. With a number of beneficiaries that is targeted this year, we do hope to help more people in the near future and thus achieve our vision and mission for NEXT 2020.

NEXT 2020 will be held of the 16th February 2020 alongside SMG20 on 15th February 2020, on the same weekend. With this combination  of events, our weekend will be known as ‘Weekend in Sheffield 2020’.
