REGIONAL
Bridging Regions, Strengthening Communities
The Regional Chairpersons Office, led by the Deputy Chairperson of UKEC, serves as the main bridge between UKEC and Malaysian student societies (MSocs) across the United Kingdom and Ireland. With 13 elected Regional Chairpersons (RCs) and 1 Regional Operations Officer for Ireland, this office ensures effective communication, governance, and collaboration between UKEC and its 79 MSocs.
WORKING WITH SUPREME COUNCILLORS
Connecting the Dots
Each MSoc elects two Supreme Councillors (SCs)—typically the President and another executive committee member—who serve as the primary liaison between UKEC and their MSoc community. SCs play a key role in voting, event collaboration, and student representation within UKEC. RCs work closely with SCs to provide support, resources, and guidance for their societies. The Deputy Chairperson oversees the office, ensuring RCs remain effective, SCs receive necessary support, and regional concerns are addressed at the national level.
